AndroidAppADay: Key Ring Reward Cards

Android, Mobile

Our free App today is extremely useful for just about anybody who shops these days. Just about every retailer has a reward card of some kind and this app is specifically designed to reduce your wallet clutter. The only reward cards I have are for Best Buy, Hastings and Play N Trade as seen in the screenshot below.

To setup the app, all you have to do is get out all of those rewards cards and then scan them in with the phone’s camera or manually type the membership code in. Once entered in, all you have to do is pick the retailer from the consistently updated list or add it in. Now that the hard part is over, you can now take that nasty pile of cards and throw them in the trash.

When you need to use one of those cards at a retailer, simply get out your phone, launch the app and pick the retailer. The app will display a large barcode containing your membership information. The cashier may be shocked for a moment so calm them down and explain kindly that this is much better than some crusty physical card and to simply scan the barcode shown on the screen. Once scanned, you just simply put the phone away. Wasn’t that better than getting out your wallet or purse and rummaging to find that crummy, easy-to-lose card? I think so, and this is why Key Ring Reward Cards is today’s featured app. Enjoy.

Key Ring Reward Cards is currently available on the Android Market.
