Facebook, Social

The latest season of American Idol has concluded, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have your Idol fever still running high thanks to a new Facebook application called “American Idol Star Experience”.

Bought to the social networking site by Ludia and FremantleMedia Enterprises, American Idol Star Experience will allow fans of the show to “continue their Idol obsession as they unleash their creativity by producingjaw-dropping online performances for family, friends and the whole Facebook community to rate and compare against other players,” according to a press release.

You’ll be able to design your own stage performance by building avatars, choosing one of dozens of songs to sing, creating your own dance moves, among other elements.

“We are excited to release a unique game experience based on American Idol, one of the most important entertainment franchises in the world,” said Alex Thabet, Founder and CEO of Ludia Inc. “American Idol Star Experience reinforces our existing multiplatform game strategy, now seamlessly integrated with robust social features.”

What robust social features, you ask? The game will allow you to post up the performance on Facebook and allow your “audience” of Facebook friends rate individual performances, choose favorites, and leave comments about the performances.

If this sounds like something you want to try out, you can do so by following this link.
