Frisky Misc

Man, Age of Wushu, you’ve got no class. Sure, you’ve got over a dozen professions, and thousands of equipment upgrades, and you look extremely pretty, but you’ve got no class. Or levels. How am I supposed to know whether or not I can adequately kick another player’s teeth in if there’s no class or levels?

It’s not just me saying this. TriplePoint client Snail Games’ new mixed-martial-arts MMO (or MMAMMO) admits it, right up front:

Snail Games USA today unveiled their colossal upcoming MMORPG, Age of Wushu. Representing more than 2000 years of Wuxia tradition, Age of Wushu thrusts players into a personal adventure, in a world where classes and levels no longer matter and where every action is judged harshly by the world around you. Players will learn that nothing is as it seems when the official International Test for Age of Wushu launches soon.

Without the traditional MMO crutch of levels and classes, it is impossible to predict the outcome of a fight.

And another thing, Age of Wushu! Why do you feel the need to classify Wushu into a separate age? Wushu is still a thing that people do today!

We have a lot to discuss, Age of Wushu. I hope we can still be friends.
