Happy Pets, Social

The selection of animals available in Happy Pets has expanded this week with the release of ferrets in the game. So far, there are eight different colors of ferrets available: Cream, Blueberry, Snowy, Firehouse, Sable, S’More, Lemon and Pink.

Three of the ferrets are available to users of all levels due to their being premium items. The Blueberry, Firehouse and Pink varieties are 64 Facebook Credits each. Meanwhile, the other five varieties begin to unlock at level 40. At that level, you’ll unlock access to the Cream Ferret, and for every two level you earn after that point, you’ll receive a new color, until you unlock the final variety, the Lemon Ferret at level 48.

Regardless of which color of ferret you choose to adopt, they’ll grow to adulthood in 5 days, so long as you feed them at least once every 14 hours.

Also, be sure to be on the lookout for a new adoptable Baby Ferret, which you have a chance of randomly finding while playing the game – you’ll be able to post your discovery to your wall as a news item, letting your friends adopt the poor animal. Or you can ignore it and let it remain alone and sad – up to you.

Head over to the game’s page to purchase one of these ferrets for your animal collection.

How do you feed the ferrets?

Try clicking on the food icon (as you would when you go to fill a cat or dog's food bowl) and then look for an icon saying something like “Feed Me” above the Ferret's head. I don't own a Ferret (saving my coins for something else), but I'm assuming they would function as Rabbits and other animals do, which is the above way – click on the animal themselves to feed them, since they don't have a bowl of their own.
