To put it simply, Playdom’s system of releasing limited edition structures in Social City is akin to a revolving door – it seems as though just as soon as we bring you the news of three new items that are available, one or two of them sell out, and are replaced by other new offerings. That’s been the case here, with the latest installment in the Underhill Homes series being replaced by a new residence that takes advantage of green, or solar technology.
Appropriately titled the Solar Home 1, the home is available for 19 City Bucks; that is, to the next 14,000 users that log into the game with the intent to purchase one. As a Residential structure, you’ll gain citizens from this building, rather than Happiness Points, and you’ll do so at a rate of 1,200 citizens every two days.
As this is another structure with a numeral associated with its name, it’s only logical that we’ll be seeing a Solar Home 2 (and so on) released in the game in the future. Whether these potential items will also be limited edition structures, or whether they’ll be released in the store proper remain to be seen, but we’ll be sure to let you know when (technically “if”) Playdom decides to release them.
