70% of iPhone App Makers Moving to Android

Android, iPhone, Mobile

According to an AdMob survey, a solid 70% of iPhone developers are planning on releasing Android apps over the next six months. The study also found that 31% are working on multiple platforms already and 47% plan to work on multiple platforms in the next six months.

Another good and interesting statistic is that 58% of those surveyed make mobile websites. AdMob is mainly a provider of advertising tools for mobile developers. With the latest release of their Android SDK, Admob is bringing more dynamic ads that were previously only available on the iPhone.

Having more developers and competition is excellent news for Android users because it will only mean better and more applications for everyone.

I'm sorry, but your headline is a little misleading.
“a solid 70% of iPhone developers are planning on releasing Android apps over the next six months” does NOT mean “moving from iPhone.”
    Nice try.

Moving their time, energy, focus (& money) – at least long enough to
make an Android app – right? No ones trying to trick anyone here,
    promise :)

I in now way meant to imply that they were permanently moving away from the iPhone, just that they are devoting time to Android as Kate pointed out.
