Location-Based, Mobile, iPhone

Glu Mobile’s latest iPhone title launched last week. The game, 1000: Find ‘Em All!, is a location-based title that incorporates both GPS and Google Maps to direct players around the colorful game world in an attempt to collect 1,000 special items.

According to CasualGaming.biz, the game has various ways for you to go about collecting items. You can go to local areas with Wi-Fi hotspots and meet with in-game “Gifters” who give you items outright, or you can follow a path set by Google Maps to pick up items that are strewn about the landscape. In this case, you literally, physically walk to the location on the map where the item is placed, and can pick it up in-game.

Finding 1,000 items in total will take anyone some real time, especially if they live in a less Wi-Fi friendly community, giving the game some real longevity.

If you’re interested in trying to find all 1,000 items for yourself, take your $2.99 and head to 1000: Find 'Em All!

Seems like an interesting concept! Glad to see something similar to Pokemon for the iPhone.
